Welcome to my Copy Editing website! My name, as you can see from the top of the page, is Matthew Bendert, and I am a copy editor.

I’m a bit of a language nerd (you sort of have to be if you plan to edit as a career). So, in addition to rampant self-promotion of my business and the many exciting editing-based services I provide, I plan to use this blog to explore interesting topics in modern language, writing, and written culture.

Perhaps I’ll post a book review. Maybe this blog will be full of hot-takes on the latest controversies over the use of commas and spacing after punctuation marks. Riveting stuff!
